1. The Short Version
- This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. It only remembers that you closed the cookie notice.
- The Quvix app uses two cookies, only to keep you signed in.
- The chat widget uses no cookies. Once a visitor opens a chat, it keeps a few small entries in the browser so the conversation carries on across pages.
- None of it is used for advertising, profiling or tracking you across other websites.
"Cookies" here also covers similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, which the law treats in the same way.
2. This Website (quvix.io)
This website sets no cookies. It keeps one entry in your browser's local storage:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| quvix:cookie-notice | Local storage, essential | Remembers that you closed the cookie notice, so it is not shown again | Until you clear your browser data |
Opening the chat on this website stores the entries described in section 4, under the same rules.
3. The Quvix App
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| access_token | Cookie, essential | Keeps you signed in, and protects requests from forgery | 30 minutes |
| refresh_token | Cookie, essential | Renews your sign-in without asking for your password again | 30 days |
| Interface preferences | Local storage | Remembers choices such as a collapsed sidebar and dismissed notifications | Until you clear them |
These are strictly necessary for the app to work, so they do not need your consent. Blocking the cookies prevents you from signing in.
Two outside services also load in the app:
- Google Fonts supplies the app's typeface, so Google receives your IP address when the app loads. It sets no cookies.
- Meta's sign-up script loads only on the page where you connect your WhatsApp Business account, and is governed by Meta's own cookie and privacy policies.
4. The Chat Widget on Businesses' Websites
Businesses that use Quvix can add our chat widget to their own websites. The widget sets no cookies, and stores nothing until a visitor opens the chat. After that, it keeps these entries in the visitor's browser, within the chat window, which runs from Quvix's own address:
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| qvx_visitor_id | Local storage, essential | A random identifier, so the visitor's chat continues across pages and visits. It contains no name or contact details. | Until the visitor clears their browser data |
| qvx_conv:… | Local storage, essential | The open conversation, so it resumes after moving to another page | 30 minutes after the last message |
| qvx_verify:… | Local storage, essential | Only if the business asks visitors to verify their mobile number: remembers that the visitor has verified, so they are not sent another code. It contains no phone number. | 30 days |
These entries exist only to provide the chat the visitor asked for. They are not shared with the website they appear on, or used to track the visitor anywhere else.
If You Are a Business Using the Widget
The website the widget runs on is yours, and so are its visitors' data. You are responsible for telling your visitors about the widget in your own cookie and privacy notices, and for obtaining any consent the law in your visitors' countries requires before the widget is used. You may copy the table above into your notice. Our Terms of Service (sections 9 and 14) set out this responsibility.
5. Managing Cookies and Storage
You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them in the app prevents you from signing in. Blocking them in the chat widget still lets you chat, but a conversation will not continue after you move to another page.
6. Changes and Contact
We update this policy whenever what we store changes. Questions go to support@exceller.tech. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data generally.
